Chartered Accountancy course in India is divided into three main levels termed CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Finals.

CA Foundation Or the First level comprises Four papers. Students enroll for CA Foundation after their 12th grade. This level has a syllabus almost similar to the 12th grade, but definitely, it's a professional exam so it has to be attempted with that approach.

Then after clearing CA Foundation students enter the Intermediate level. Intermediate comprises Eight papers divided into two groups of Four subjects each. The pressure is really high at this level.

Then there is the mammoth CA Final level. This level also comprises 8 papers divided into two groups of 4 subjects each. But the depth in which the subjects are to be studied increases manifold.

What Makes CA Intermediate So Difficult?

1. Time Given

Most of the students start studying for or take coaching classes after passing the CA Foundation exams and the first attempt due after that is within 9 months

In those 9 months, the student needs to grasp concepts of 8 subjects which are individually so vast and require a lot of retaining power.

Only a good study plan with proper strategy can help in covering all the syllabus on time and getting ready to face the exams.

2. One group or Both the groups

Since the syllabus is too much to handle and there is a constant peer and senior pressure to handle, it becomes one of the most stressful decisions.

Many students underestimate the curriculum just because they cleared Foundation in their first attempt. That's not how it should be.

CA Inter comprises 8 subjects out of which 6 are completely new and are individual fields on their own. This level introduces students to all these disciplines. It's really important even to set up a base where the student understands every concept really well.

5. Difficult than even CA Finals

Definitely, if we talk about the depth in which the subjects are to be studied then CA Finals top the difficulty list.

But what we can't ignore is that a CA Final student has a 3 year articleship experience in hand. He has already cleared two levels and he has done things practically.

Also, this is the second time that he will be studying these subjects. He already knows the hard work he needs to put in.
