ICAI Announcement: Last Date for Conversion from Old Course to New Course

ICAI in its latest announcement dated 22nd July, 2019 has announced the last date for conversion from Old Course to New Course for both CA IPCC and CA Final course students. The students registered under the Earlier Scheme can convert themselves into Revised Scheme of Education and Training implemented w.e.f 1st July, 2017. The students can appear in the November 2019 exams under the New Scheme if they convert before the cut-off date.

Last Date for Conversion for CA IPCC Students


The students registered under the Old Scheme of Education and Training for CA Intermediate course, aka, CA IPCC students can convert themselves into the New Scheme before 27th August, 2019. That is, the last date or cut-off date for conversion for CA IPCC student is 27th August, 2019. So, if you want to convert into the New Course, do it before the cut-off date.

Updated Cut Off Date/Last Date for Conversion from CA IPCC Old Course

In continuation with the Notification dated 22nd July, 2019, the ICAI issued another notification on 14th August, 2019. The last date of conversion from Earlier Scheme to Revised Scheme to appear in Intermediate November, 2019 examinations was 27th August, 2019. Considering the hardship being faced by students in converting themselves, it has been decided by the Competent Authority that the last date of conversion is extended from 27th August, 2019 to 7th September, 2019 for appearing in November, 2019 Intermediate Examinations.

Last Date for Conversion for CA Final Old Course Students


The students registered under the Old Scheme of Education and Training for CA Final course can convert themselves into the New Scheme implemented w.e.f 1st July, 2019 before 20th August, 2019 to appear for November, 2019 exams. By converting, the students can appear in the Final examinations being held under Revised Scheme in November, 2019.

In continuation with the Notification dated 22nd July, 2019, the ICAI issued another notification on 14th August, 2019. The last date of conversion from Earlier Scheme to Revised Scheme to appear in November, 2019 Final Examinations was 20th August, 2019 and considering the hardship being faced by students in converting themselves, it has been decided by the Competent Authority that the last date of conversion is extended from 20th August, 2019 to 7th September, 2019 for appearing in November, 2019 Final Examinations.

No, it is not for November 2019 attempt.

Which is the last attempt for CA IPCC exams?

A student enrolled under the Old Scheme of Education and Training for CA Intermediate, i.e., CA IPCC can give the exam in Old Course till May 2020. That is, the last attempt for CA IPCC Old Course students is May 2020.

Which is the last attempt for CA Final Old Course exams?

The last attempt for CA Final Old Course exams is November 2020. After which, the candidate will have to convert from Old Course to New Course.
