CA Qualification is Now Equivalent To PG Degree: UGC

The University Grants Commission (An Autonomous Body by Government of India) that is responsible for conferring the university status to all the colleges and universities of India has announced that Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretaries, and Cost Management Accountancy Degrees will now be treated equivalent to postgraduate degree.

This comes as great news for all Qualified CA Professionals. If you earlier had to go into the teaching industry and wanted to become a professor, then any top university of India had a mandate that you at-least have 1 postgraduate degree.

But, not anymore! Any CA Professional can easily appear for any NEET exam or pursue doctorate in their field of interest as their degrees now have the same value and status as that of Masters or Post Graduate.
